DescriptionCircular bowl with an everted rim and a ribbed or reeded well on a high foot ring, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze polychrome enamels and gilt. The rim has a honey-brown edge and is decorated with an underglaze blue band of flowerheads and scrolls on top, and an underglaze blue, overglaze iron red, and gilded band of half-flowerheads within triangular reserves on the underside. Both the interior and exterior of the well feature four flowering bushes or trees in blue, red, and gilt and four flowering plants in red and gilt. A large flowerhead in underglaze blue framed by a blue band of flowers on a fishroe-diaper ground ornaments the center of the well. On the exterior, an underglaze blue band of flowerheads and scrolls encircles the base of the bowl.
