DescriptionPear-shaped bottle or guglet with a projecting, squared mouth and long neck on a high foot ring, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze polychrome enamels and gilt. An underglaze blue cell-diaper band encircles the lip, while a complex border of flowerheads, scrolls, scale diaper, and foliage encircles the top of the neck. The front and back of the vase feature a flower-filled cornucopia and tall vase in polychrome enamels with gilded details at the center of a circular reserve framed by underglaze blue scrolls and flowers. Polychrome enamel flower sprigs appear within smaller underglaze blue framed reserves above the main reserves on the front and back and on each side of the body. Underglaze blue sprays of flowers appear on the sides above and below the reserves with the polychrome decoration.
