DescriptionPear-shaped guglet or bottle with a slightly flared mouth and a long, knopped neck on a high foot ring, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze polychrome enamels. The plain lip has a honey-brown edge. On the front and the back of the bottle is a pomegranate shaped reserve containing a figural scene in polychrome enamels: on one side, a figure presents a horse to a seated figure while two people stand behind, one holding a sword; on the other side, two people appear to converse with the seated figure while the figure with the horse stands in the background. The ground of the guglet is blue with floral designs left in reserve. A few of the flowers are picked out in iron red enamel. Cell-diaper pattern ornaments the knop. A trellis-diaper band encircles the foot.
