On one side, within an elongated reserve, is a polychrome enamel scene of several figures in a garden; the corner of a building with a moon window appears at the upper left and behind it is a banana tree. On the opposite side, within an elongated reserve, is a polychrome enamel scene of several figures in a garden; the front corner of an open pavilion appears at the upper left and a cherry tree appears at the upper right. Scattered across the ground of the vase are anhua or incised, white-on-white butterflies, flowers, and foliage; the ground between these motifs is filled with underglaze blue fish roe-diaper.

Scattered across the ground of the dome are anhua or incised, white-on-white butterflies, flowers, and foliage; the ground between these motifs is filled with underglaze blue fish roe-diaper. An underglaze blue cell-diaper border ornaments the edge of the rim. The inside of the lid is glazed; the base of lid has been left unglazed. The knop is gilded.
