Around the top of the exterior is a blue trellis-diaper band with four flower-heads between four sets of tripartite triangular reserves containing flower-heads and half-flower heads. On the front of the mug, within an underglaze blue quatrefoil frame composed of C-scrolls, is a polychrome enamel scene depicting four figures in front of a building and a landscape with an open pavilion in the background. On either side of the mug, within an underglaze blue quatrefoil frame composed of C-scrolls, is a polychrome enamel scene with two figures beneath a tree in the foreground and two huts or small buildings in the background at top (top left on one side, top right on the other). Between all of the reserves are underglaze blue floral sprigs with polychrome enamel accents, and the ground is filled with gilded scrollwork. Around the bottom of the exterior is a blue band of L- or V- shaped scales. The back of the handle is decorated with an underglaze blue elongated, budding branch with a flower at center.
