DescriptionA white metal medal with a loop at the top. The obverse has a standing figure of George Washington with a sword in the proper left hand and a document in the right. The obvers reads “THE FOUNDER OF OUR UNION. 1776.” The reverse reads “A/ DECISIVE/ WAR ONLY. CAN RESTORE/ PEACE AND/ PROSPERITY/ 1861.”
