DescriptionA landscape format collage of seven images depicting different views of Mount Vernon and the surrounding area including (from left to right, top to bottom): Fort Washington, a distant view of Washington D.C. from across the Potomac River, a boat of fishermen on the Potomac, a couple inside the mansion hallway, a view of Mount Vernon’s east facade surrounded by people, Washington’s new tomb, and a view of the boat landing. The images are printed on a page of Harper’s Weekly Illustrated periodical.
