DescriptionRectangular view of the front of the mansion from the east. The mansion is in the middle of the composition, with a woman on the porch. In the foreground there are two figures, a man and a woman; the woman is sitting on the lawn and the man is standing, both are looking in the direction of the viewer. In the background can be seen the Potomac with two figures looking at a ship sailing on the river.
