DescriptionFull bust portrait of George Washington set in an oval frame above a depiction of the battle of surrender of Yorktown. Washington is wearing a military uniform with a sash across his chest.The surrender at Yorktown scene depicts an officer in the foreground being handed a sword by an officer of the opposing force. In the background at center and right are a multitude of soldiers. In the left of the background can be seen two masted ships on the water.
