DescriptionFragment of wallpaper border, taken from Washington's New Room at Mount Vernon in 1869. The fragment is folded in half. The wallpaper is printed with a wide border of acanthus in grisaille, a dark green verditer border, and a narrow row of beading in grissaile. Portions of a light green, verditer paper are visible on the reverse of the fragment.
