DescriptionFull-bust portrait of George Washington facing left and wearing a black coat, a cravat, a shirt ruffle, and a ribbon in his hair. He is set against a stippled grey background. Behind the portrait to the left is a draped American flag, and a branch of laurel leaves with a Liberty Cap resting on it, and to the right is a branch with red berries. Below the portrait is a view of the New Tomb at Mount Vernon, seen from the front, with several people in front it. To the right of this image is a standing eagle and a fasces, or an axe with a bundle of sticks tied around the shaft.
