DescriptionFull bust portrait of George Washington, set in a frame with rectangular brickwork behind. Washington is facing to the right and is wearing a military uniform, with a sash across his chest. Above the portrait is a laurel wreath with two laurel branches on either side of the frame. Below, is a shield with Washington's coat of arms in front of a tablet with "General Washington" inscribed on it. The shield has three stars and two horizontal stripes on it. Laurels are draped above it and a crown is mounted on its middle peak. Below the shield is a ribbon with the Latin motto "EXITUS ACTA PROBAT" on it.
