DescriptionThis print is a landscape of the birthplace and first home of George Washington. On the left side of the print is a view of boats on Bridge's Creek. There is a house in distance of the background. On the right is a cottage with a fenced in kitchen garden. In the space between the house and the creek are two large trees. The foreground has a number of felled logs shown.

MarkingsPrinted in ink below the image on the lower-left side: "Published by Currier & Ives". Printed in ink below the image on the lower-right side: "125 Nassau St. New York". Printed in ink below the image, centered: "The Birth-Place of Washington. / At Bridges Creek, Westmoreland Co. Va. (Feby. 22nd. 1732.)" / This House commanded a view of the Potomac, and the opposite shore of Maryland. The roof was steep, and sloped [the rest of the text is obscured, the sheet has been trimmed]".
