Iverson & Stone

English, 1790 - 1817
BiographyThe fish hook and needle makers Iverson & Stone were located at 13 Crooked Lane, Cannon Street, London from c. 1790-1800 and thereafter relocated to 10 Crooked Lane. A surviving receipt indicates that as early as 1758, the firm of Henry Stone and Charles Iverson had succeeded a Mr. Knight as proprietors of "The Old Compleat Angler" in Crooked Lane. The firm continued trading at various addresses in Crooked Lane until 1831, when under the name of Henry Stone, the business relocated to 67 Cannon Street until its demise in 1834.
