BiographyGeorge Lehman was a Philadelphia painter, engraver, lithographer and publisher from the late 1820s until his death in 1870. In the early 1830s he worked as a lithographer for Childs & Inman, later forming publishing partnerships with Cephas G. Childs. (Peters, Harry T., America on Stone, New York: Arno Press, 1976, 263).
