BiographyGeorge Washington’s great-great-great-great-nephew, William Lanier Washington (1865-1933) was the son of George Washington’s great-great-great nephew, James Barroll Washington (1839-1900) and his wife, Jane Bretney Lanier (1842-1901). Lanier’s grandparents were Louis William Washington (1812-1871) and his wife, Mary Ann Barroll (1817-1844), and great-grandparents, George Corbin Washington (1789-1854) and his wife, Eliza Ridgeley Beall (1786-1820). William Lanier Washington sold Washington relics, memorabilia and art particularly in the 1910s and 1920s.
