This loosely woven fragment of wool cloth was salvaged from a blanket originally owned and used by George and Martha Washington. It was carefully preserved by descendants of Mrs. Washington's granddaughter, Martha Custis Peter.

Fragments W-2680/A-C are believed to be from the same blanket.
