DescriptionThis print is a historical scene showing young George Washington and Martha Custis meeting. Her children are playing on the floor in front of her. The scene is set indoors in a well-appointed room with Martha sitting near a leaded window. Washington stands in military uniform on the right side of the image with his hat in his right hand. In the background can be seen a man riding a horse, with a white, riderless horse next to him.
