DescriptionFull bust portrait of George Washington, facing left and wearing a military uniform, set against a background of a cloudy sky. The portrait is set in an oval frame with a bow at lower center and sheaves of wheat extending up the sides. Below the frame are flags, a sword, a helmet, muskets, a cannon and a drum that lay on top of a tablet that shows a scene of Washington taking command of the Continental Army.
