BiographyBernard Romain Julian was born in Bayonne, France in 1802. He studied drawing and painting in France. He published a book on drawing called "Cours de dessin" and was a key figure in disseminating the techniques of lithography through France. He eventually moved back to Bayonne and taught drawing there until he died in 1871.
