DescriptionCalling card case with ivory covers and a painted enamel on metal marine scene set in an octagonal reserve with a molded gold border on the front of the case. The scene depicts two figures in black hats on shore at the center foreground, a two-masted ship in the water in the middle distance at right, and a group of white buildings against a mountain range in the background. The case is lined with blue moire silk, and has a pocket of the blue silk inside the front cover. A spine of red leather connects the two ivory covers on one long edge, and on the opposite end, one red leather pen or pencil loop is affixed to the edge of the front panel and two red leather loops are affixed to the edge of the back, in alternating positions, so that they form a continuous channel when the case is closed.
