DescriptionHalf length portrait of George Washington, sitting at a desk writing, wearing a blue military coat with a red waistcoat underneath. Behind him is a drawn curtain revealing books on a shelf. The portrait is set in a yellow, oval frame with three flags at the top, two of which have thirteen stars on them and an eagle on a field of yellow and then red and yellow stripes. Below the frame is a pedestal with Washington's name on it and an inscription.
