DescriptionThe upper image of this print is a photographic reproduction of an image taken of the Mount Vernon mansion from the side of the piazza. On the left side of this image is a blurry figure wearing a suit and straw boater hat. The lower image is an etching of the Mount Vernon mansion depicted in the mid-nineteenth-century. There are military figures, clergy, as well as a large number of civilian figures pictured strolling on the lawn below the piazza. MarkingsPrinted in ink on the upper edge of the sheet: "Virginia.".
